A few years ago I was hired to paint faces at a birthday party. At the party I met a woman that started following my Instagram Stories. A few months after that, seeing how much I love fashion, she kindly invited me to a clothing swap she holds every three months. A party she holds every three months, she calls this clothing swap the "The Naked Lady Party."
What exactly is a clothing swap? It is a gathering where a bunch of women come together exchange items from their closet, like clothing, shoes, purses and jewelry they are no longer wearing, in exchange for a "new" yet upcycled and free wardrobe consisting of someone else's second hand donations.
Recently, at my third Naked Lady Party, I found a navy blue dress. This dress fit perfectly and was so unique and cute. The only problem was that it was getting old and the fabric was looking a little drab.
At the same clothing swap I was also drawn to another dress, not because I liked the style or fit, but because there was something special about the fabric. It was covered in these gold metallic flowers. So what did I do? I cut out about 150 flowers from the dress I was not going to wear and sewed them onto the navy blue dress to create a BRAND new piece of wearable art.
I am an endless creator that paint everything.
