You are just click away from grabbing "The Secret Dating Hack"
I see many coaches suggesting their clients make a list—a list of what they want in a man. Now, I think it is wise to make a list (Habakkuk 2:2 reminds us to “write the vision and make it plain”), and in fact, I have one myself. But here’s something deeper to think about…
When you apply for a job, you don’t just bring a list of what you want in a job, right? You present a résumé. You show up with a document that highlights your experience, character, and why you are a good fit.
I share this analogy because dating and preparing for marriage is similar. Just as you wouldn’t expect to get your dream job without preparing and presenting your best self, you shouldn’t expect to step into a godly marriage without first becoming the kind of woman who is ready for it.
Proverbs 31:10 says, “A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.” A woman of godly character doesn’t just sit and wait for the right man—she prepares, she grows, she builds her life upon Christ. So instead of only focusing on what you want in a man, think about what you are offering in a relationship.
✨ What fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23) are evident in your life?
✨ What values and strengths rooted in Christ do you bring to the table?
✨ Are you walking in holiness, humility, and purpose (1 Peter 1:15–16, Colossians 3:17)?
This shift in mindset will not only prepare you for the relationship you desire, but also help you grow into the woman God has called you to be. Now, here’s the fun part: I created something called the “Relationship Résumé.”
What is it? It’s a self-reflection tool to help you:
🚩 Attracting the wrong men because you’re unclear on your worth in Christ (Psalm 139:14).
🚩 Repeating toxic patterns because you haven’t allowed God to heal you (Isaiah 61:1).
🚩 Settling for less because you doubt God’s promises (Ephesians 3:20).
🚩 Feeling frustrated in singleness because you’re waiting on a man to complete you instead of being made whole in Christ (Colossians 2:10).
🚩 Missing out on God’s best because you weren’t spiritually prepared when He sent him your way (Matthew 25:1–13, the Parable of the Ten Virgins).
But if you do take this seriously, you will:
✅ Step into your worth as a woman of God who knows her value comes from Him (Proverbs 31:25).
✅ Attract a godly man who recognizes and cherishes your character (Proverbs 18:22).
✅ Gain clarity on what still needs to be surrendered to the Lord so you don’t bring old baggage into your new season (2 Corinthians 5:17).
✅ Date with purpose, not desperation, trusting God’s timing (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
✅ Align yourself with God’s best instead of settling (Psalm 37:4).
✅ Become the kind of woman who is also the answer to his prayers (Proverbs 31:12).
Sister, if you’re praying for a godly man, shouldn’t you also be preparing to be a godly wife?
Now, hear me clearly: this isn’t about trying to prove your worth or “earn” love. Your worth was already secured at the cross (Romans 5:8). And it’s not about being “perfect.” None of us are—perfection belongs to Christ alone. This is about self-awareness, growth, and letting the Lord shape you into the woman He designed you to be.
A wise woman asks herself, “Would I date me? Am I walking in the Spirit, clothed in Christ, and ready for the blessing I’m praying for?” It’s time to prepare your heart, grow in your identity in Christ, and position yourself for God’s best.
