Welcome to 12 Steps to Freedom - Restoring Worth, Identity & Purpose in Christ
💌 A Letter from Mandy
Hi Sister,
I believe you’re here on purpose. God doesn’t make mistakes. I know what it feels like to be stuck in endless cycles—whether in addictions, relationships, or even in my own thoughts. For years, I lived in striving, shame, and powerlessness.
By God’s grace, He has freed me from food addiction, love addiction, sex addiction, alcoholism, settling for crumbs, anxiety, an anxious attachment style, panic attacks, migraines, low self-worth, a poverty mindset, and paycheck-to-paycheck living. I share this because I want you to know—what He’s done for me, He can do for you too.
The 12 Steps gave me something precious: mentorship, community, discipleship, and a Spirit-inspired framework for daily growth. The church gave me something even more essential: Jesus, scripture, worship, and a personal relationship with Him. I didn’t find lasting freedom in just the 12 Steps, and I didn’t find it in just going to church and reading the Bible. I found freedom in the powerful combination of both. Because the truth is—without Christ, without His Word, without the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2), without discipleship and accountability (Proverbs 27:17), and without a framework for transformation, recovery can sometimes feel like being set free from one cage only to be chained to another.
Through my journey, I discovered that the Steps themselves are not something to throw out—they are something to be fulfilled in Christ. Each one points us back to humility (James 4:10), confession (James 5:16), surrender (Luke 9:23), amends and reconciliation (Matthew 5:23–24), prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and service (Mark 10:45). Jesus didn’t just save me so I could “manage” my struggles; He saved me to be truly set free (John 8:36). That’s why I created this 12-week journey. It’s not about information—it’s about transformation. You’re not here to try harder, perform better, or stay stuck in shame. You’re here to step into the fullness of your worth, your identity, and your God-given purpose in Christ. And I would be honored to walk alongside you in that journey.
With love and freedom in Christ,
